RN-Led Post-Op Care
12-16-24 hour packages with continuous professional oversight.
Medication Management
We will ensure all post-operative prescriptions are filled and in hand before discharge, review your current medications for safety and promptly consult your surgeon to address any concerns.
Post-op Monitoring
Your safety and results depend on early detection of complications. We closely track your vital signs, address any concerns promptly, and consult your surgeon as needed to ensure a smooth recovery.
Incision and Drain Care
We keep your dressings clean, dry, and intact while monitoring your incisions for any signs of complications. If you have surgical drains, we'll measure, empty, and maintain them to ensure proper healing and prevent fluid buildup.
Transportation
Your nurse coordinates all transportation to and from the surgery center, hospital, or surgeon's office on surgery day, as well as post-op and follow-up appointments.
Nourishment
Proper nutrition fuels healing and supports a smooth recovery. Since anesthesia, pain, and limited mobility can make meal prep difficult, we'll help plan and prepare nourishing, nutrient-dense meals to aid recovery.
Recovery Guidance & Education
We'll walk you through your post-operative instructions to ensure you feel confident and informed. Education includes incision and garment care, pain management, drain maintenance, positioning, nutrition, and recognizing signs of complications — along with clear steps on what to do if concerns arise.
Comfort & Pain Management
We'll help you manage your prescribed pain medications safely and effectively, offering guidance on OTC and NSAID use. Your nurse will create a personalized dosing schedule to keep you comfortable while incorporating alternative pain relief options such as cold/heat therapy, positioning aids, gentle massage, relaxation, sound therapy, and aromatherapy.
